Double Your Income and Halve Your Stress

Posted in  Business, Live Your Dream by Kyle Newman , 0

What better gift could you give yourself than greater prosperity and substantially less stress… Seriously! If you could unwrap that as a present, wouldn’t you be ripping the wrapping paper off like there was a winning lottery ticket inside!  If it was offered to you on a silver platter, who wouldn’t want that right?

In the game of life and business, two of the key questions I ask clients are… What do you really want? And are you willing to do what it takes to achieve it?

The reality is that doubling your income and halving your stress is a real possibility. It’s not easy, it’s not necessarily hard either, but it will require that you step out of your comfort zone and do something different. To approach life, wealth and business in a new way. So I’ll ask you again… Are you willing to do what it takes to achieve what you want?

After all, your current thinking and actions have gotten you to where you are now, and if you want to seriously up your game and get better results, then you’ll need to seriously upgrade your thinking and mind-set!

So my challenge to you today is to aim higher in the next 12 months, much higher, and my goal with this article is to provide some tools to help you do that on the prosperity front, along with 3 challenges to get you underway.

Challenge #1 = LEARNING

Cashflow QuadrantFirstly, there’s a whole host of wealth and money books out there, so challenge number one is ‘LEARNING’. Go and buy a couple of them and start reading. Best-selling wealth author, Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad; The Cashflow Quadrant), talks about the four main ways in which most of us make money: E, S, B and I (Employee, Self Employed, Business Owner and Investor).

Thus, one of your primary barriers to creating more wealth is that our education system is designed to produce employees, not entrepreneurs and investors (which is where the bulk of the wealth resides). So if you want a larger slice of the wealth pie, then you’ll likely need some additional learning in order to get it. There are two key elements to that learning – the mechanics of creating wealth, and the psychology of creating wealth.

In today’s ‘information age’ this learning is readily available, but you need to be ready and open to it, and the journey to follow. A few other wealth authors to check out on your learning journey include: T Harv Eker, Stuart Wilde, and Barbara Stanny.

WD 3 Prisms of WealthChallenge #2 = KNOW YOUR LEVEL

Now you might say that you get a reality check every time you check your bank balance, and that’s all well and good, but what I really mean by ‘Know Your Level’ is to understand not only where your ‘Net Worth’ is currently at, but more importantly where your ‘Wealth Mindset’ is currently at. At what level is your Financial Thermostat set? One tool that I recommend to clients to help them understand where they are on the wealth path, and what level they are currently playing the game at, is the Wealth Spectrum test. Wealth DynamicsChallenge #3 – GET INTO FLOW

They key to doubling your income, AND halving your stress, is ‘Getting Into Flow’. When in ‘flow’ your results come more effortlessly. So what is flow and how do you get into it? In sport, flow is often referred to as being ‘in the zone’. In the game of wealth creation it’s about leveraging your natural strengths and talents, and having the right people on your team.

Many people are told that if they want to achieve something specific, then one of the best ways to do that is to find someone who’s already done it and copy/model them. This is good advice in theory, but there’s key piece of information that’s missing is that in order to be successful doing that. You need to model someone who has similar strengths, talents and personality type to yourself. Otherwise your experience is likely to be unsuccessful, overly taxing, or both.

So how do you know who to model? Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, Richard Branson? Or someone else? This is where another cutting edge tool comes in – the Wealth Dynamics test. This test will not only answer that question, but also direct you towards how you best create value and leverage in order to build wealth, and who you need to be working with along the way. Finally – Ask Yourself the Tough Questions

To set yourself on an upward trajectory for the next 12 months and beyond, it’s good to begin by reviewing your progress and asking yourself some tough questions. Here’s a few to get you started: What am I currently doing that doesn’t make sense? What do I really want in the next 12 months? Where am I selling myself short? Where do I need to up my game/change my thinking?

Celebrate your successes and get set ready for a rocking year ahead!
